Faithful in Small Things

Faithful in Small Things

Today is the anniversary of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s entrance into Eternal Life :: August 26, 1910 ~ September 5, 1997

Here are just a few quotes from Blessed Mother Teresa:

“Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do … but how much love we put in that action.”

“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”
“How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.”
“Communion with Christ gives us our strength, our joy and our love.”

Blessed Mother Teresa, pray for us!

  1. She is my favorite Saint!! She was my favorite living Saint when she was alive! I have always said to myself, "what would Mother Teresa do?" "How would Mother Teresa act?"

  2. Thank you for this reminder today! My oldest daughter is named Teresa after Mother Teresa and St. Teresa of Avila. We call her Tessa because she has the spunk these women had.
I needed this reminder today, as the curent issues at hand in our country have gotten to me – and I feel defeated as a women of faith. My heart is broken because those who do not agree with me (it seems the whole world) think I do not love because I do not beleive the current political plans are the best way to love.
Mother Teresa and her example of true faith, and love for all is just what I need tonight. Thank you!

  3. Thanks for the great quotes! I love to look at her, I think she is the most beautiful woman ever! Every wrinkle on her face says "love".

  4. Sarah–I met Mother Teresa many years ago and she has always been my hero! You, my dear, are quickly becoming a hero to me in your own right — I LOVE looking at your blog each day and being inspired. You are so like your Mom and such a woman of faith — you give me so much to aspire to! Thank you!
