Aren’t They Fetching?
Last week, I completed my first pair of fingerless gloves! The pattern is appropriately called Fetching, and I found it at Knitty.

I followed the yarn recommended on the pattern, Debbie Bliss Cashmerino, and picked a pretty (and versatile) charcoal gray. This was delightful yarn with which to work! And this was a great pattern for me to learn a few new things, such as casting off with the Cable Cast On method for a little Picot finish, as well as picking up stitches for the thumb.
I am truly pleased with how these mitts turned out. Now, my oldest has requested a pair in pink =)
I have two other works-in-progress in my craft basket: my prayer shawl and my lace scarf. I’d like to finish (or at least make some major progress) on these before I start anything new …

i never ended up finishing mine this winter. i made some for just about everyone else except myself! however i found some made out of a cute sock yarn that i thought i might try. and with sock yarn being so tiny i might just finish them by october!
