\nNovember is such a beautiful
\nmonth of gracious generosity and humble gratitude. Thanksgiving Day, which
\nhappens to be one of my favorite holidays, is two weeks from today. I am striving to keep this month of November slow, peaceful and focused on my blessings.<\/a>
\nI am striving to \u201cjust say no\u201d to the commercialism and shopping season that
\nseem to begin earlier and earlier each year.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWithout overlooking the importance of Thanksgiving, I also have
\ncome to realize that when I take some time in November to plan ahead for the
\nAdvent and Christmas seasons, my Advent is much more prayerful focused on
\npreparing my heart (and helping my children prepare theirs) for the celebration
\nof Christ\u2019s coming on Christmas Day.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBecause whether we like it or not, the month of December is crazy-busy
\nwith parities, school programs, extra shopping, additional baking, and a myriad
\nof other \u201cto-dos\u201d that pile on top of our regular routines. That is why it can
\nbe very beneficial to seize the quieter month of November to prepare for the
\nseason of Advent, the season of spiritual preparation and anticipation of Christmas.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
